health and wealth club personal trainer physical therapist May 28, 2024

Starting and maintaining a successful one-on-one session business requires careful planning and strategic execution. Many coaches and influencers say it can’t be done, but I’ll show you how you can do it.

This series of blogs aims to provide a comprehensive guide to help you navigate through the essential steps of making money with one-on-one sessions. Each blog in this series will cover a specific aspect of the process, from determining your weekly session capacity to exploring additional revenue streams.

But before you read it, I want you to believe and know you can have a successful business doing one-on-one sessions. It's also important that you know you can enjoy your business while doing one-on-one sessions. It doesn’t have to stress you out or burn you out. I need you to know all of this, because I know that you have to do one-on-one sessions for your own fulfillment. You need them just as much as your clients need them. It’s where the magic happens.

I want you to keep making magic, but I want you to make more money too. If that’s what you want too, keep reading and click through to each section after you've read this whole blog.

If you already like what I'm saying and you want more time with me, we can connect here in my community. Click here! But if this is your first time getting introduced to me then take your time getting to know me and my work.

I'm Kiné Corder, the leading National Certified Counselor specializing in performance and financial therapy for athletes. I've built a thriving business doing one-on-one and I have a little secret sauce to share with other service-based business owners that don't want to give up one-on-one work and who want more than a high ticket offer product.

I have a lot to share with you, which is why I started my community. But this blog will give you a great foundation and a good starting point. It's for personal trainers who have been in business for a while but need more money and freedom now that they've mastered their craft.

Here’s what I’ll cover in the blog series and why it’s important:

1. Determining Your Weekly One-on-One Sessions

The first step in creating a sustainable one-on-one session practice is to determine how many sessions you can manage each week. You might be over doing it right now or you could be cutting yourself short. We'll check to make sure. This involves assessing your available time and calculating your financial needs. By understanding your limits, you can set realistic goals that prevent burnout and ensure quality service. (Click here for this full blog.)

2. Setting the Right Pricing for Your Sessions

Once you have determined your weekly session capacity, the next step is to set the right pricing. This blog will guide you through pricing strategies to cover your expenses and achieve financial stability. It will also discuss the benefits of positioning yourself as a premium service provider which is different from high ticket.

That might scare you, but my job is to teach you how to get comfortable asking for money, receiving money, and ultimately having money (all different parts of the same problem), so let’s go baby! This is my favorite conversation because there are lots of emotions around money. This is a separate blog series, but little bits will be sprinkled throughout every blog I write, especially when we are talking about pricing and money. (Click here for this full blog.)

3. Exploring Additional Revenue Streams

Diversifying your income is crucial for long-term success. This blog will explore various additional revenue streams, including digital products, group sessions, retreats, and speaking engagements. Each option will be discussed in detail to help you identify which ones align best with your business model and skill level.

This is also the place where you get to decide which 1-2 revenue streams you want to explore next. You may get up to 7-10 revenue streams as time goes on, but you can add them 1 or 2 at a time. When you look at your favorite multimillionaire or billionaire, it’s likely they have more than 5 and they likely started with just one very specific stream that set the foundation for the others. (Click here for this full blog)

4. Building a Subscription Model

Subscription models offer consistent income and strengthen client relationships. This blog will explain the advantages of subscription models and provide ideas for market your own subscription service. I like sharing real-life examples and success stories to illustrate effective strategies, but it's really about what's right for you and your business model. (Click here for this full blog.)

5. Maximizing Efficiency with One-on-One Sessions

Efficiency is key to maintaining a productive and profitable practice. If you are going to do one-on-one session you must be efficient to make the money and have the freedom you desire. This blog will share tools and techniques to streamline your process, especially once you add other revenue streams. (Click here for this full blog.)

6. Transitioning Clients to Other Revenue Streams

Client retention is easier when you have options. Once you have other revenue streams to transition clients to, it can change your overall business model. This is where my group comes in, because this takes some trial and error. Helping you do this will take more than a blog, but read the blog series first because I won’t teach this part in my group. I teach you how to do it once you’ve committed to some of these idea.

As your business grows, transitioning clients from one-on-one sessions to other revenue streams can help you scale effectively. This blog will provide strategies for identifying transition points and creating seamless plans to move clients to group sessions, digital products, retreats, or even a subscription maintenance plan.

We are going on a quest together. The same quest your current and future clients are going to go on with you as you expand. If you aren’t ready, don’t worry. That’s what this blog is for. It’s to help you get ready by walking you through the process before you take it. (Click here for this full blog.)

Takeaways

This blog series aims to equip you with the knowledge and strategies needed to build a successful one-on-one session practice. By following the steps outlined in each blog, you can create a sustainable and profitable business model. For personalized guidance tailored to your unique situation, consider joining the club, where individual advice is offered in a group setting.

Before I go, I should tell you that you’ll have to learn to set boundaries to implement this strategy, but this strategy will also help you set boundaries because you have other options for those who want more than their fair share of your time or want to pay less than their fair share for your service.

Last point for today, I didn’t say this above, but you are going to need to find a topic that you can master, a target market, and a tailored solution if you don’t have this already. My Wellness store and club are my solutions to the problems many physical therapists and personal trainers have.

You can join it if you want to know all the how that goes along with WHAT I just shared today. You can ask me questions and I can also help you take care of yourself while you take care of others. Does that sound good or good? Great, then let’s talk. Start by taking my quick quiz to see which type of wellness professional you are and then set up your free consultation.
